Murex Travel was set up in March 2018 in Mossel Bay, and ever since it has maintained incoming and outgoing tourist services as its core business. As a previous employee from the XL Group the owner have served more than a thousand tourists from different countries including South Africa, America & Europe. It was the owners love and passion for travel that have given him the inspiration to start Murex Travel that is part of the XL Group.

The owner have more then 14 years experience in Tourism. He completed his training in Cape Town at a International Travel Agency in 2009. He have first hand experience after his visits to Germany, Thailand, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zanzibar & Dubai.

In 2019 Murex Travel secured it’s first 3 year contract with a Government Department to deal with local travel between the provinces. In August 2021 Murex Travel was reward another Corporate contract for 3 years in the Northern Cape.

In November 2021 after the epidemic the demand for travel have increased significantly. At that moment Charmaine Hansen have joined Murex Travel to help with the daily travel demand. She focused on Domestic Travel. Government, Corporate  and Local MSC Cruises. She have extensive experience in Cruising.

Today Murex Travel is delivering travel services local and International.
