Travel Consultation, Option and Advice
Murex Travel believes that service means more than just taking orders from our customers and then processing them before issuing tickets.
Response time was rated as one of the most important requirements that you have and we undertake to get back to you immediately with domestic travel arrangements that cannot be concluded on the phone when you call. Where international bookings with multiple sectors and services are required, we may need to do research and this could take a little time but we will report to you in 48 hours as to the progress that has been made.
You will always be given options for your journeys and these may include the least expensive fares, the most convenient routes and the flexibility and availability of flights and services. You may then choose the option that best suits your requirements.
Airline Reservations and Ticket Issue
Murex Travel will transact airline reservation through our Galileo Global Reservation System or through the internet. All reservations will be confirmed in writing by email or other specified format and will contain the conditions or restrictions that may apply
Once you are satisfied that the reservations and fares are indeed what you require, you need to instruct us to issue the ticket. This will set the administrative process in motion.
Most airline transactions these days utilize e-ticketing which means that passengers do not get a physical air ticket, especially on domestic flights but instead they collect their ticket from the airlines check –in counter upon production of proof of identity.
Physical tickets, where appropriate will be delivered to your business premises in good time prior to your traveler’s departure or at a time specified by your travel co-coordinator. Please try to avoid Friday afternoon delivers, as it is well known that these tend to be problematical.
Hotel Reservations
Your travel profiles will illustrate the accommodation preferences that your traveler’s utilize and these will be adhered to unless there in availability.
In addition the Murex Travel will make recommendations regarding hotels offering special rates to business travelers and accommodation that is packaged with flights at competitive prices
Murex Travel will assess your accommodation volumes and where appropriate suggest entering into corporate agreements with hotel groups to maximum on benefits such as reduced rates or complimentary services
Car Rental Reservations
Again your volumes will be determined and corporate solutions will be discussed with you. Car Rental Companies are fiercely competitive and it makes good sense to take advantage of their loyalty membership programs.
Most quality Car Rental Companies have “rapid or speed” facilities at airports and we will ensure that these are implemented for the convenience of your vehicle renters.

Value added services
Visas
We will determine the nationality of your traveler’s passport and record it in our profiles so that when overseas travel is planned, visas and entry formalities can be arranged.
Passports are usually required to be handled by the individual traveler directly, due to the policies of the issuing department.
Visas as a necessary nuisance and can only be obtained through embassies or consulates or agencies who sometimes do not relate as sympathetically to a traveler urgent need as they might and it is therefore recommended that you plan journeys as well in advance as possible. Murex Travel will provide you the relevant advice relating to specific Visas required.
It is also advisable to keep spare passport sized photographs available in case of emergencies
Third party agencies are often required to carry or courier the travel documents to and from the embassy or consulate and they all charge handling fee.
